Barrier Integrity Framework
The Barrier Integrity Framework is the analytical framework used by Hydra Chronic to assess whether formulations developed for compromised skin barriers are physiologically coherent.
It evaluates formulations across four independent dimensions:
Barrier Architecture
Whether the formulation establishes a structurally coherent barrier system.
pH Coherence
Whether the formulation operates within the functional pH corridor that prevents serine protease dysregulation in compromised barriers.
Membrane Compatibility
Whether the formulation is free of components that extract barrier lipids, disrupt membrane integrity, or sensitise compromised skin systems.
Delivery Logic
Whether active components are positioned in a way that allows plausible function under compromised barrier conditions.
Qualification under the Framework requires fulfillment of all four dimensions.
